Light Therapy
Light therapy is a method that uses biological light to stimulate cellular rejuvenation and support the repair of skin damage.
How it works

What is Light Therapy?
Light therapy is a treatment method that uses visible colored light (such as blue light, red light, etc.) to help address various skin concerns, including vascular lesions, pigment disorders, signs of skin aging, and acne… These lights have a broad wavelength spectrum (500 – 1,200 nm), allowing them to act on multiple target tissues (such as skin pigments and hair follicles, hemoglobin within blood vessels, etc.). The skin utilizes the emitted light as an energy source to support the repair and rejuvenation of damaged cells, while also helping to treat acne and eliminate acne-causing bacteria.

Types of Biological Light Used in Light Therapy
– Red Light Red light (620 nm) or near-infrared light (830 nm), with longer wavelengths, can penetrate deeper into the skin. It directly affects the sebaceous glands, helping enhance anti-inflammatory effects, prevent post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation, and improve acne scars. In addition, at these wavelengths, the light also stimulates cells in the dermal layer, increasing cellular energy and supporting skin repair and regeneration. – Blue Light Blue light (405 – 420 nm) helps destroy P. acnes bacteria and reduce inflammation. This type of light is suitable for treating mild to moderate acne.

Contraindications
Light therapy is not suitable for the following individuals: - Pregnant women - Patients with photosensitive conditions such as systemic lupus erythematosus, dermatomyositis, albinism, etc. - Patients who are taking photosensitizing medications such as isotretinoin, chlorpromazine, amiodarone, etc.

5 steps, clinically led
Step 1: Consultation and Skin Assessment
Before starting the treatment, Wedo doctors will use advanced skin analysis technology to assess your skin condition. Based on the results, a personalized treatment plan will be developed to suit your specific skin needs.
Step 2: Cleanse the Skin
The makeup removal and facial cleansing steps are performed carefully to eliminate makeup residue, dirt, and excess oil deep within the pores. Clean, clear skin helps enhance the effectiveness of the following treatment steps.
Step 3: LED Light Therapy
The doctor will use an LED light device with wavelengths selected according to your skin condition. The treatment time is relatively short, and the sensation is very comfortable, allowing you to relax during the session.
Step 4: Post-Treatment Skincare Guidance
After completing the medical-grade acne treatment, the doctor will spend time consulting and guiding the client on proper post-treatment skincare. This is an important step to help maintain the treatment results and prevent acne from recurring. Clients will receive specific instructions on their skincare routine, how to properly care for their skin, as well as recommendations for diet and daily lifestyle habits to support the skin’s recovery after treatment.
Step 5: Create an Online Group for Skin Care Support and Monitoring
To ensure the medical-grade acne treatment process remains consistent and effective, WEDO creates dedicated online monitoring groups for each client. Within these groups, doctors and specialists regularly provide updates, monitor the client’s skin condition, and offer 24/7 support to answer any questions throughout the treatment process. They also share helpful skincare tips to support clients in maintaining healthy skin during and after treatment.
Make results last
Drink Enough Water
Water is an essential factor in maintaining skin hydration. After a skincare treatment, make sure to drink enough water each day to hydrate your skin from within. Proper hydration not only helps keep the skin plump but also supports the body’s natural detoxification process.
Avoid Direct Sun Exposure
Right after a skincare treatment, the skin is often very sensitive and more vulnerable to damage from sunlight. Therefore, you should limit going outside between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m., when the sun’s rays are strongest. If you need to go out, make sure to apply sunscreen with an appropriate SPF to protect your skin.
Use Gentle Skincare Products
To maintain healthy skin after treatment, choosing the right skincare products is very important. Prioritize gentle, natural products that do not contain harmful chemicals to help protect sensitive skin.
Avoid Applying Makeup Immediately
If possible, avoid applying makeup immediately after a skincare treatment. The skin needs time to recover and absorb the nutrients provided during the procedure. If makeup is necessary, choose lightweight foundation products that are gentle on the skin and easy to remove.
